We are thrilled to announce that My Favorite Charity Events (MFCE) Organization will again be sponsoring our Annual Christmas for Kids Program this year. This beloved tradition continues to support the children at Cooke Elementary School and their siblings, filling the holiday season with hope and joy for many families in our community.
We are once again asking all our Santa’s Helpers to support the Christmas for Kids Program. We understand this has been a trying year for everyone, we also know this is an extremely critical year for the families we support as they likely have to decide on buying Christmas presents or putting food on the table or keeping heat in the house on. Your generosity for the last 5 years has brought smiles, warmth, and cherished memories to the students and families who need it most. We are hopeful that you will once again support this worthy cause and that Santa’s radar will once again find its way to Sweet Virginia Beach, bringing a happy and wondrous Christmas morning to our kids.
If you are able to join MFCE in providing toys and clothing to our most vulnerable elementary school-aged children, please reply to myfavoritecharityevents@yahoo.com, letting us know that you will join us in making the holidays merry and bright for our kids. In your email let us know if you are able to support 1) a family with one child, 2) two children, 3) provide a single gift, or 4) you prefer to make a financial contribution.
Please respond by November 21, 2025 so we can inform Cooke of how many families we can support this year.
To everyone who has provided support in past years, we so appreciate your generosity and goodwill. What you do for the spirit of these kids cannot adequately be expressed, so we do our best by saying to our generous Santa’s Helpers “thank you for your kindness and continued support.”
My Favorite Charity Events (MFCE) would like to thank the Virginia Beach Rotary Club for partnering with us as we support underserved families with children who attend Cooke Elementary School through our Christmas for Kids Program.
Working on our sixth year of serving children in our local community, we want to thank the Rotary Club and one of our MFCE’s Santa’s Helpers, Jessica Lin, who nominated us for this donation.
MFCE’s Christmas for Kids program is a grassroots program supported by our Santa’s Helper’s and local community in providing Christmas gifts for our kids.
We appreciate our Santa’s Helpers, and we are constantly looking for new donors as we continue to raise funds for the Christmas for Kids program for 2025.
MFCE is looking forward to helping families with students at Cooke Elementary enjoy a merry Christmas season by providing these students with the opportunity to experience a wonderful holiday season.

Christmas for Kids (CFK) is a grassroots program, and we can’t thank our family, friends, and neighbors enough for being so generous year after year.
Without their support, CFK would not be the success it is today. We would also like to thank the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) District Council of Hampton Roads in Norfolk, ILA Local 1248, and Oceanfront Dentistry for their generous donations in support of the CHK’s program.
Our vision is to provide HOPE and RESOURCES to those in need by treating them with respect and dignity, placing focus on creative solutions, and bringing about ways of improving the livelihoods of family units—one family at a time.

Mr. Turner has worked as an educator for over a decade, first as a full-time Kaplan tutor before shifting into the public-school setting. Mr. Turner originally provided New York City public schools with SAT and ACT tutoring programs on behalf of Kaplan test prep. Since moving to Virginia Beach with his wife and daughter in 2015, Mr. Turner has taught, tutored, and coached students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. He has provided Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to students with autism ranging in ages from 3-16. As a special education teacher with Norfolk Public Schools, he taught a group of 3rd and 4th grade students with Emotional Disabilities. Through the coordinated support of families, co-teachers, and supportive administration, his team of students (dubbed the “SuperDolphins”) achieved a collective SOL pass rate of over 80 percent. Mr. Turner currently works as a Special Education teacher at Green Run High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and believes strongly that relationship-building and play-based learning are the foundations of academic recovery and long-term success.
