Christmas for Kids Event 2024

Hello Family, Friends, and Neighbors:

Well Halloween is upon us, next Thanksgiving and then the favorite of My Favorite Charity Events (MFCE) – Christmas! We are kicking off our annual Christmas for Kids (CFK) program earlier this year because Cooke is going to identify families this month rather than November so we will need to tell the school how many families we can support in early November.  This change will give everyone more time to buy gifts or donate monies if you like. We would like to hear from you by 8 November 2024 so we can determine the level of support to the school.

We expect a larger need this year than past years. This will be our 5th year  doing Christmas for Kids and we could not do it without the incredible support from all of you.  We have been asked why we do it, here is a quick story that sums it up well from a mother of a child that received gifts last year. “On Christmas morning my son saw all the wonderfully wrap presents under the tree and the surprised look on his face was priceless. After he had opened all his presents I could not control myself and ran into the bathroom and cried like a baby – my son’s Christmas was saved by the generosity of your charity. Your charity gave my son a Christmas he never expected and when school started back up he was able to tell his friends all the present he got – just like all his friends.” All MFCE strives to achieve is normalizing these families Christmas and make Christmas a memorable day of celebration and wonder, and you, our “Santa Helpers”, have done this for the last 4 years.

As we did last year, we are asking you, as a donor, to provide gifts or money donation for one child (or two) unless you would like to support a family. MFCE last year provided Christmas presents for 22 families that encompassed 50 children! Additionally, we provided Cooke with 30 skateboards, 15 winter coats, and toys to augment their Angel Tree Program. The Christmas for Kids Program has been incredibly successful and has provided gifts to over 160 children in 4 years.

As a community of family, friends, and neighbors, together we can make this an incredibly special Christmas again, one that these children will remember forever. Although they may never know where the gifts came from, you can be assured they will be the happiest children in Virginia Beach!

Christmas 2023

Christmas for Kids Event

Christmas for Kids (CFK) is a grassroots program, and we can’t thank our family, friends, and neighbors enough for being so generous year after year.

Without their support, CFK would not be the success it is today. We would also like to thank the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) District Council of Hampton Roads in Norfolk, ILA Local 1248, and Oceanfront Dentistry for their generous donations in support of the CHK’s program.

Math Tutoring Program

My Favorite Charity Events (MFCE) Organization LLC’s Mathematics Tutoring Program was developed to assist children improve their academic performance in math, improve the prior year’s Standards of Learning (SOL) assessment scores, improve study and learning skills, and to improve their attitude towards learning and school.
